Nokia G-010G-Q ONT

Last week I received the Nokia G-010G-Q ONT as part of my new FTTH setup.

This terminal is 12V-powered with a small external power brick rated for 0.5A. I measured the actual average power consumption for the last 24 hours at the AC outlet and it came in at around 2.8W. The device uses between about 2.7W idling and about 3.0W during a symetrical 300Mbit/s UL/DL speed test.

The second part of the setup is the Sagecom FAST5670 V2 (F@ST5670V2) router. This unit consumes for starters about 4.9W idling (7.8W with WiFI enabled; embedded ONT always disconnected/unused, 1 LAN Ethernet port connected) up to about 11.5W during a 300Mbit/s speed test through it's WiFI 6. Same test through Ethernet port with WiFI disabled maxed at about 5.1W. Sagecom is also 12V-powered, the power brick is rated for 2.5A.

After getting rid of the router the Nokia ONT alone seems to run flawlessly with rp-pppoe, the only setting worth mentioning is CLAMPMSS=1452.

Power measurements taken with Voltcraft SEM6000 Bluetooth smart plug.

Measurements directly at 12V DC ports TBD.
